In trying to understand birds in flight and portray them in a static carving, I like to do as much research as possible. Just a line drawing pattern does not do justice to depectiong the actual casrving in the round. Not being near falcon refuges and not having a high end telescope and camera it is hard to visualize the effect the turning of the wing has or the flair a set of feathers have. Now with all the internet acces we have we can now see this close up.
