Gotta go and get to work
Charlie
Been a long time but now back to finishing some projects. I had visioned doing individual inserts into the wings on my scissortails but ran into many problems. One was making the tupelo to thin and when I burned the detail on the feathers I burned through. After making over 40 feathers I finely got it right??? No. As I tried to put the five into the end of the wing they were too thin and took on a wavey look. Totally unacceptable. After making two sets, 8 five on feather inserts, I finely have a workable insert. Check the sharing tips section for pictures.
My bee Eaters are comming along. 4 birds and a lot of detailing. Pictures in the Sharing tips page. Gotta go and get to work Charlie Instructor list is finalized for 2012. We have 19 instructors. Sad but Margaret Claywell will not be able to teach the watercolor class but we recruited a replacement. Becky Hauck will teach watercolor. We have a good variety this year and I think there is something for everyone. Registration is going very good with over 20 signed up so far. A word of caution, if you want to take advantage of the $40.00 room at Extended Stay you must reserve NOW. They are almost out of rooms at that rate. Five months to go and I have to get my project finished. So .
Just returned from a week with my two kids in Florida. Air travel sure is not what it use to be. Enjoyable!
However the stay there is something to remember. Getting down there and these trips mean more each year. Moveing to FL, probably not but they really talk a good offer. Even willing to move us. Stay tuned. War Eagle Seminar is comming right along. Just 5 months away. Also Our show is fastly aproaching and we need to get our troops into the final sprint. I will be finishing up the Bee Eaters and moveing along on some long unfinished carvings. I'll post pictures here, maybe it will modivate me. Be sure and email the brochures each time someone asks about each of these projects. This is the cheepest mail for spreading the word. Cheers Charlie Beautiful day here. We went on a day trip to Van Winkle Mill area in the Hobbs State Area. Took a few pictures and thought I would share them with you. There were beautiful butterflys everywhere. Some would fly right up to you. The pictures I took were no more than 18" away. Just beautiful.
