Tupelo , Basswood, Butternut base and brass leaves
Another one finished.
I was recently asked which carving I liked best? I said it was like picking which kid you liked best. It is hard selecting any one. Some are flawed, can always do better on the next carving. But I think the one I like best are the ones that I am working on at the time. The visualizing what you want to carve and figuring how to accomplish it. Then finishing it off with some habitat. Good example is the lady slippers. Had thought about it for several years and one day I just started. I sure like the final effect and finish.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.
